AIMS & SCOPE
Neurotoxicity Research is an international, interdisciplinary broad-based journal for reporting both basic and clinical research on classical neurotoxicity effects and mechanisms associated with neurodegeneration, necrosis, neuronal apoptosis, nerve regeneration, neurotrophin mechanisms, and topics related to these themes.
Published papers have focused on:
NEURODEGENERATION and INJURY
Neuropathologies
Neuronal apoptosis
Neuronal necrosis
Neural death processes (anatomical, histochemical, neurochemical)
Neurodegenerative Disorders
Neural Effects of Substances of Abuse
NERVE REGENERATION and RESPONSES TO INJURY
Neural Adaptations
Neurotrophin mechanisms and actions
NEURO(CYTO)TOXICITY PROCESSES and NEUROPROTECTION
Excitatory amino acids
Neurotoxins, endogenous and synthetic
Reactive oxygen (nitrogen) species
Neuroprotection by endogenous and exogenous agents
Papers on related themes are welcome.
Publication History of Neurotoxicity Research
Neurotoxicity Research has been published continuously since 1999 - originally by Gordon & Breach; in 2002, by Taylor & Francis; since 2003, by FP Graham Publishing Company. Two volumes, comprised of four (4) issues each, are published online and in print each year.
Indexing
Neurotoxicity Research is included in the Thomson ISI® indexing services including Science Citation Index, ISI Alerting Services and NeuroScience Citation Index. Neurotoxicity Research is also in the National Library of Medicine’s Pub Med. Neurotoxicity Research has an impact factor of 5.2.
Neurotoxicity Society Affiliation
The Neurotoxicity Society adopted Neurotoxicity Research as its official journal in 2003.
